FLYING BUFFALOES @Avondale Brewery in Birmingham THIS WEEKEND

One of Nashville’s hottest alt-country/roots rock bands, Flying Buffaloes, are preparing to descend on Birmingham, AL in celebration of the one-year anniversary of their critically-acclaimed debut album, LOADED & ROLLIN‘. The band will deliver their signature high-voltage live performance set at Avondale Brewery (201 41st St), opening for Winston Ramble on March 12 at 7:30 p.m. (doors at 6 p.m.). Advance tickets are $15 through Event Brite or $20 at the door. Called a “collective of rip-roaring Americana players” by Mother Church Pew, Flying Buffaloes are best described as the Allman Brothers meets the Eagles. Straddling the line between country and rock, the group served as the opening act for Red Dirt Country artist, Wade Bowen, as well as the hard-driving rock band, Drivin N Cryin.

The group earned the attention of media outlets like HuffPost, Pop Matters, Glide Magazine, and AXS.com, the sonically tight, five-piece high-energy group cut its musical teeth along Nashville’s famed neon strip (a.k.a. “Lower Broad”) and is now on the “first-call” list for Music City’s hottest venues and showcases, including Legend’s Corner, The Local, Mercy Lounge, Exit/In, Basement East, Loser’s Whiskey Jam, and Tin Roof’s Bus Call. Additionally, mainstream radio play on stations including Nashville’s Lightning 100 and Chicago’s Big 95.5 bode well for the future of the band.
