On April 8, 2017, Shades Crest Baptist Church will host its 16th Annual High Country 5K Race (8:00am start) and 1-Mile Fun Run (9:00am start). This is one of the most popular 5K races in all of Birmingham and was voted 2nd Most Popular by the Birmingham News, Besides the great mountaintop views, the High Country 5K features great community support and a welcoming Christian atmosphere for all racers.
