Pop-up Workshop with Lisa Opielinski "Fluorescent Fishes"

Sure, the Autumnal Equinox isn’t until the following week. But it’s still summertime, and with that comes Alabama’s warm weather. Imagine sitting beside a garden pond with a trickling waterfall, margarita in hand, under an umbrella, on a lazy afternoon. Feel that cool breeze blowing across the water. Now that the mood is set, let’s paint the “Fluorescent Fishes” swimming around in the glistening water.

Ampersand Gessobord will be the work surface. In this workshop, you’ll learn masking and layering techniques to achieve luminous effects. Using Princeton brushes, paint with acrylic fluid and high flow paints. Then apply finishing touches with Faber Castell Pitt Pens. That’s Friday, September 15th from 10 until 1:00 pm. $85 per person includes all fine art materials needed are provided to complete this painting in class.
