The Art of Hope: Speaking the Unspoken

The Junior Board of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, AL Chapter invites the Birmingham community to its 2nd annual fall outreach program: an art show which aims to promote mental health awareness. Admission is free and includes valet parking, hors d’oeuvres, music, and a cash bar.

The Art of Hope was formed by the Junior Board to creatively show the triumphs and struggles of mental illness in a safe space. As Henri Matisse said, “Creativity takes courage,” and through our efforts, we hope to foster fellowship among art– to remind those who are struggling that they are not alone.
