CARRIE A. TUGGLE: EDUCATION PIONEER (Case Study)
Our Instructor, Dr. Sylvea Hollis, will lead us through the life and work of African American educator and social activist, Carrie A. Tuggle (1858-1924). An important civil, voting, and woman rights pioneer, Tuggle will be remembered for her work and fight for educational equality. What makes her important for us, is the work and legacy she left here in Birmingham, Alabama.
Please Note: Due to Covid-19, all of our monthly events will be held via ZOOM until further notice. These events require paid membership in BAAGG, except as noted.
