CARRIE A. TUGGLE: EDUCATION PIONEER (Case Study)

Our Instructor, Dr. Sylvea Hollis, will lead us through the life and work of African American educator and social activist, Carrie A. Tuggle (1858-1924).  An important civil, voting, and woman rights pioneer, Tuggle will be remembered for her work and fight for educational equality.  What makes her important for us, is the work and legacy she left here in Birmingham, Alabama.
