UAB Department of Music “Prism” concert

Featured will be the Wind Ensemble, Concert Choir, Computer Music Ensemble, Trumpet Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble and smaller chamber groups, clarinet quartet, flute trio, and a six-hand piano arrangement of the overture to Mozart’s “Marriage of Figaro.” Faculty performances will include voice, piano, clarinet, trumpet duets and a grand finale of Aaron Copland’s majestic “The Promise of Living.” This wide range of musical performances is not to be missed.

Faculty performances by Yakov Kasman, Denise Gainey, Kristine Hurst-Wajszczuk, Won Cho, Christopher Steele, James Zingara, Steven Roberts and more, including compositions by William Price and Craig Brandwynne. Student Ensembles directed and coached by Sean Murray, Cara Morantz, Gene Fambrough, Lisa Wienhold, Timothy Paul Banks, Tatiana Kasman, and others.
