Violins of Hope "Giving Voice to the Voiceless"

The violin and its music have always been central to Jewish life. Today, some 70+ years after the Holocaust, Avshi Weinstein and his father Amnon have beautifully restored violins rescued from the Holocaust. In concert, these violins provide a voice for the voiceless, those lost during the Holocaust who can no longer speak for themselves.

During this program, students will hear Avshi share the tortuous history of these violins. Students will experience the graceful and uplifting sound of the violins and be inspired to find their own voices to speak out for the voiceless and to learn from the past to help build a brighter future.
