Watercolor Monotypes Taught by: Liza Butts

Participants will work on frosted mylar to paint imagery with gouache, water-soluble pastels, and traditional watercolor paints. This is a great workshop for people who enjoy painting and want a technique that translates easily to printmaking.

Liza Butts is from Birmingham, AL where she currently serves as the Studio Manager for Paperworkers Local. She received her BFA in Studio Art from Washington University in St. Louis. Liza has worked at the Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop in NYC and with the Island Press in St. Louis, MO. Her work uses landscape imagery, silkscreening processes, and experimental techniques with paper and fabric.
