We are proud to present to the community a Friday evening and Saturday event filled with information and networking of individuals who are interested in advancing their careers through regular networking and professional education.
Friday evening kicks off with networking and a presentation by Rayola Dougher from the American Petroleum Institute. Her topic includes opportunities in the oil and natural gas industries especially for women. Saturday is focused on Marketing yourself, your business and your community. Workshop I presented by Sandra Girouard features criteria to help you determine which social media tool is right for your business needs, Facebook, LinkedIN, Twitter, and etc. Workshop II presented by Gina Berry explains the importance of a business slogan as part of your marketing strategy. Our Keynote speaker, Kay French will reveal how to “Plug in and stay connected!”. Lunch is provided as part of the learning experience as well as the oppportunity to network with dynamic women who are committed to improving themselves and their communities.
Additionally we will be hosting several vendors for your shopping pleasure. So feel free to select from the unigue array of items offered for your pleasure. What a great way to purchase gifts for family and friends!
The Alabama Council ABWA is composed of chapters in Birmingham, Montgomery and Decatur, Meeting four times a year in rotating cities, our goal is to assist the chapters in providing speakers and support to the chapters of the American Business Womens’ Association. The event is open to members and non members of the organization and everyone who is interested in enhancing their career.
