Join Burdock Book Collective Tuesday, March 26 at 6pm for the first meeting of our “Free Palestine Book Club.” We’ll discuss the first half of Rashid Khalidi’s “The Hundred Years’ War on Palestine” (through section 3) and spend time co-creating goals, sharing books we’d like to read next, and identifying ways to be in solidarity with Palestinians. Longtime friend of Burdock, Sage, is partnering with us and helping to facilitate and organize this group. We are so grateful for their intentionality and input in this work.
.
If you don’t have time to finish reading the first half of the book, we still encourage you to attend and learn along with us about the history and struggle of Palestine and how we can all fight for collective and global liberation. 🍉
You can purchase a copy of the book for pick up or delivery through the link in our bio. Orders placed by February 26 will be available for pick up on March 5. All are welcome; please let us know if financial barriers prohibit you from purchasing your own copy. Our next meeting will be April 30, where we’ll finish discussing the book.
.
Burdock’s address is 4413 5th Avenue South (located inside the Birmingham Quaker Meeting House). Parking is available in the backyard behind the house where there is access to a wheelchair ramp. There is overflow parking on 6th Avenue South.
