Joe McGill of the Slave Dwelling Project will be visiting the Wallace House on May 20-21. He will make a presentation, host a dinner, and lead a sleepover in the House.
Joe McGill’s dynamic presentation will focus on the legacy of enslavement in the US and the mission of the Slave Dwelling Project at 4 pm. At 6 pm, a locally catered Soul food meal will feature vegetarian vegetables, a meat, and dessert. Continuing this immersive experience are a fireside chat on the patio, sleeping inside the empty house with fellow participants, and breakfast. Bring your own bedding and perhaps an air mattress.
