The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Alabama serves as a home-away-from-home for the families of sick and injured children who must travel to Birmingham for medical care. The RMHCA has served over 32,000 families from counties across the state of Alabama, throughout the United States, and international community since it opened in 1979.
